Portugal vai receber a etapa europeia do IKF Beach Korfball World Cup Europe 2026, um evento oficial da Federação Internacional de Corfebol (IKF), organizado pela Federação Portuguesa de Corfebol e coorganizado pela Move Sports. Nos dias 11 e 12 de julho de 2026, o corfebol de praia chega à Costa de Caparica, Almada, no Parque Desportivo do Atlântico, com o apoio da Câmara Municipal de Almada.
Ainda não conheces o corfebol? É um desporto de bola rápido e tático, jogado em igualdade entre homens e mulheres. Tudo acontece à base de passe, movimento e finalização para o korf (o cesto), sem “jogo a solo” nem corrida com a bola.
O Corfebol de praia tem algumas diferenças em relação ao corfebol clássico. Joga-se com menos atletas, 8 em campo em vez de 16, e para além das oportunidades gerais de lançamento em toda a parte do campo, existe uma zona de lançamento específica que vale 2 pontos, incluindo lançamentos antes do meio-campo e nos cantos.
A expectativa é receber cerca de 15 seleções. As seleções participantes serão anunciadas em breve.

Portugal is hosting the IKF Beach Korfball World Cup Europe 2026, an official event of the International Korfball Federation (IKF), organised by the Portuguese Korfball Federation, and co-organised by Move Sports. On 11and 12 July 2026, the world’s only mixed team sport comes to the sand at Costa de Caparica, Almada, at Parque Desportivo do Atlântico, with the support of Almada City Council.
New to korfball? It’s a fast, tactical ball sport played on completely equal terms by men and women. The game is built around passing, movement and finishing into a korf (basket), with no solo play or running with the ball.
This event will be beach korfball, which has a few key differences from the classic version. The game is played with fewer players, 8 on court instead of 16, and, apart from the general shooting opportunities throughout the field, there is also a designated shooting area where each shot is worth 2 points, including shots taken from before the halfway line and from the corners.
Around 15 national teams are expected to compete. The participating nations will be announced soon.
